almost weigh in day

I've done pretty good about staying within my points this week. I even made Andrew cookies and didn't eat one!!! (glad you like the cookies) My adjustment is going from working out in the evenings to working out in the mornings ...I am not a morning person so this has been hard for me as my work schedule has changed ...I am curious to see what weigh in day will bring on Sunday ..I have decided to move my weigh in till then ..Next week I plan to work harder at doing my 30-45 min work out each day.

I love to travel

I have been blessed to see much of the United States and one country out of the US. I am in the begining stages of planning a vaction for next year and here is my first destination that I am considering. It is an all inclusive resort in Mexico. Several of the activities and all of your food and drink are included in the price.

Workouts

like I said in an earlier post I have been doing P90x as my workout and I have seen some good results the only problem I have with this workout is that it usually takes an hour and a half to do it and with my new work schedule I usually only have about 45 mins a day to workout in the mornings ..so I am looking to change up my workout ..Melissa suggested The Biggest Loser workouts you can get them at Walmart and they are only $10.00 seems like a good suggestion if especially if you are on a budget! I plan on grabbing a couple of these this weekend to add to my video vault. ....Today I did a combination of P90x and another workout series called the firm and it worked out good ...I love the ab ripper from P90x it is a very good abs work out then I did the legs workout from the Firm I like this one because it's only 30 mins long which makes both workouts right at 45 mins!

Amazing Grace ....

As Easter comes to an end I sit here and remember my favorite hymn. I always loved to hear my friend Michael sing it ..I hope everyone had a blessed Easter and remember that Christ is the reason we celebrate today ....

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

Peanut Butter Pie

We had a food day Friday at work and one of the girls I work with made this and I thought I would share it, it seems easy to convert to low fat or fat free if you wish I plan on making this on the 23rd when my parents come to visit using fat free where I can

1 cup creamy peanut butter, plus 2 tablespoons divided
1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese softened
1/2 cup of sugar
1 (12oz) container (4 1/2 cups) frozen whipped topping thawed and divided
1 prepared chocolate pie crust
1 (11.75 oz) jar Smucker's Hot Fudge Spoonable Ice cream topping divided

Directions:
1. Beat together 1 cup peanut butter, cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with an electric mixer on medium until well combined. Gently mix 3 cups whipped topping until thoroughly combined. Spoon mixture into pie shell. Using spatula, smooth mixture to edges of pie

2. Reserve 2 tablespoons of hot fudge topping into the corner of a reasonable food storage bag, set aside. Microwave remaining topping on High for 1 minute. Stir. Spread topping over pie, covering entire peanut butter layer. Refrigerate till set. Spread remaining whipped topping (1 1/2 cups) over hot fudge layer, being careful not to mix the two layers.

3 Cut a small corner form the bag containing the topping. Squeeze bag to drizzle topping over pie. Place remaining 2 table spoons of peanut butter in reasonable food storage bag, cut bag corner and squeeze to drizzle in opposite direction of topping. Refrigerate till ready to serve

This is much easier if you put each layer in the freezer for a few minutes and start by putting the shell in the freezer to get it cool......the layers do not mix as much and it's much easier to spread.

Zach making breakfast

Wooohooo!!

I weighed this morning as I do every Saturday morning and I was down below my goal mark by 2 lbs! Now to keep it that way ..I am really liking the weight watchers points system it seems to simplify and it allows me to fix the same thing for me and Zach!

Zach is making his first breakfast this morning ...he is so excited!

The best compliment

I got the best compliment yesterday ...I wasn't feeling really great and I saw one of my former coworkers and she told me how great I looked ...I love people like her who are genuine and really seem to know when you need a pick me up~

Trying to eat right and exercise

I have been on a quest to change my eating habits and start exercising more . Thanks to Melissa I decided to join her in doing weight watchers online where I can track what I eat and for the last 2 weeks have been doing P90x , a workout series that to say the least is brutal but seems to be effective. I hope that tracking what I'm doing and putting it out there for all to see will keep me motivated to continue and not give up.

I still don't understand little boys or big boys for that matter....

Zach got his first motorcycle ride Wednesday night even though it was just around the block you would have thought he rode to heaven and back ...he hasn't stopped smiling about it or talking about it ...Thanks Andrew!!!!
